Spirit in the sky

Last night I came home to find a nice little UPS box laying in my bed/fort. I was so excited, I wasn’t expecting a package and I really didn’t know what it could be….so, I tore that $h*t open as fast as I could. YAYY! Inside I found my Weleda Body Oils Essentials Kit that I won in the giveaway from On Tap for Today. The kit included six mini versions of Weleda’s 100% certified organic, natural body oils. I decided since it was already late and I had a long day at work I wanted to test out the one that would be most relaxing. I chose the Lavender Relaxing Body Oil. Duuuhh! I rubbed some on my hands, a little on my wrist, a dab on my temples and suddenly I felt the zZzZz’s sneaking up on me. I had a few chores to do, a blog to write, however I was feeling so relaxed my head didn’t want to be anywhere but my pillow, so I obliged. A big, HUGE thanks to Elizabeth at “On Tap for Today” & everyone over at Weleda, I loveeee my new oils and have been getting myself into some trouble by spending my whole paycheck on the Weleda website.

Yesterday was a slower day at work but I didn’t mind because Hayden offered to do my colour. He highlighted my hair with bleach and I think a highlift blonde. These are my favorite highlights I’ve ever had done. They’re nice and ashy and I can’t see any gold. Phew! After work I met up with John and we had a train date, he shared his iPod with me and we played checkers. Unfortunately we got on the longest train ever, but it went by fast because he was making me laugh the entire time. I adore John. I got home, ate some dinner, and like I said earlier, after testing out my new body oils I passed out.

On to this morning. Welp. What a lovely start to the day. I got on the wrong train at Jamaica and ended up in Hunterspoint. I didn’t like Hunterspoint at all. Luckily some nice dude told me to take the 7 train to 42nd street. Thanks man! After being stuck on the 7 train due to system malfunctions, and suffering through a panic attack surrounded by 100 or so people, I finally made it to 42nd street and on to work. It only got better from there, thank you God. Power of positive thinking, people! Not much has been going on yesterday and today but tomorrow and the rest of the weekend should be eventful. Friday is the Christmas night of shopping in the village and Saturday morning I’m heading up to visit Brian and my Marist friends (that’s you Kaiti, if you’re reading this). I’ll leave yalls with a few pictures from yesterday/today..

I can’t end this post without aknowledging the fact that today, 12.02.10, marks seven years since my Grammy has passed away. Grammy was seriously the coolest woman ever. I wish I had pictures on my computer to share but unfortunately I don’t. This year has been the hardest year of my life and I know you have been watching down on me from heaven everyday, through whatever struggle. But hey lady, where was my yellow ladybug today? Still hoping for one this week…I miss you.
